I think the boob and butt pose is done for a different reason in pokemon then in comic books. While in comic books the artists are trying to make the girls look sexy, in pokemon games there are a large number of sprites and each trainer and gym leader is to be put in a different pose, and there’s probably only so many poses they can do.
